Message But your opposition to the idea has been duly noted. Surprise, surprise.

These came in the mail today :-)

You can already see the blue band :-)

Who has done a real retrofit, then converted to the 99 lights? I mean, i can totally see someone ditching the rebased bulb setup that you sell for the $1500 version. The optics of the headlight lens may come into play somewhat, but I don't think that it is going to be substantial. Certainly better than the RHD cutoff shield in the '99 lights. Its just that in the 7 years I've been here, I've never seen someone do a real retrofit. Maybe I missed it, someone did it properly and it turned out horribly. But the amazing results I've seen from drastically more difficult retrofits leads me to believe that the retrofit won't hit major snags.

The hands down best way to do it would be to disassemble the '99 lights, remove the cutoff shield, and replace it with a LHD shield (actually replace it with a similar projector's shield, which defintely exists). I'd rather have the extra $1000 in my startup company.
